Diuretic
Are any substances that increases the elimination of fluid from the body through urination. Diuretics are included in diet pills (sometimes called water tablets) to accelerate weight loss, but their effects are temporary.

Water Retention
Symptoms like abdominal swelling are associated with water-retention. Fluid retention increases significantly with high carbohydrate diets. Excessive fluid retention is linked to some diseases (e.g. heart failure or kidney disease) and fluid may accumulate in tissues where it causes swelling (oedema) in places such as the ankles. Diuretics (water tablets) help to remove this excess fluid. In women, fluid retention also varies during the menstrual cycle, tending to increase just before menstruation.

Directions:
